A future where robots and artificial intelligence occupy every aspect of human life has frequently been portrayed in art and literature. These sci-fi realms seem to come closer to reality day after day as we witness their hints in the facts:

- The global AI market value is expected to reach $267 billion by 2027 (Fortune Business Insight)
- AI is expected to contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030 (PwC Global)
- The AI industry will be earning $126 billion a year by 2025 (Statista)
- The number of businesses using AI grew 270% between 2017 and 2019 (Garner)
- 85 million jobs will be eliminated and 97 million will be created due to AI by 2025 (World Economic Forum)

For some, advents in AI will open windows of opportunity for humans. However, for some others like Elon Musk, and despite its possible benefits, "AI is a fundamental risk to the existence of the human civilization".

While responsive design is becoming quite the norm, it is certainly still worth emphasizing as we still stumble on many beautiful websites that lose their charm when loaded on a smaller or a larger screen.

The result is usually a scene of visual incoherence with critical impact on lead/customer acquisition and traffic conversion.

Your website can lift your business or drag it down depending on how carefully it is designed. Making sure that it's responsive is a crucial step in using it to your advantage.

Why should you seek minimalism in your UI?

•It’s more effective: one of the fundamental rules of UI design is to make it intuitive and as effortless as possible for the user. Keeping it minimal helps achieve this by guiding the user’s attention to what is important in a smooth, visually comfortable manner.

•It’s faster: Reducing excessive elements helps your interface load and function faster.

•It’s easier to make responsive: UI elements can easily assume the resolution they’re loaded in.

•Lower maintenance: Minimal interfaces don’t require as much effort to update or to fix as non-minimal ones.

These qualities can help you save time and money and even generate more sales as they cut frustration and waiting time for prospects at an age of growing trends of impatience.

The second most important page in your website or mobile application after the header is your about page.

Before diving into some of the elements that make a great about page, we should start by changing attitudes towards it. While many people see it as an OBLIGATION to fill that part of the interface, the about page is actually an opportunity for building rapport with your visitors and engaging them. After all, these people are in your about page because they’re curious to know you, they’re likely in the midst of deciding whether to do business with you, so take the time to put out a good piece of copy.

BUT, what’s a GOOD piece of copy? In complete honesty, it depends -on your type of brand (personal vs corporate), on your line of business, on how established you are, on how much you got (or want) to say, on how good you are with words (or on your budget to hire a copywriter). However, it does not hurt to try our best, right? So below are the most common elements to an about us page:

•Put them in context: Here you want to clearly state your name, where you are located, when you started... You simply introduce yourself to the reader. And if you got an interesting story to tell, all the better! spill it out!

•Introduce the problem and the solution: What is it that you help people with? Is it regulating their sleep cycle? fixing their ceilings? composing music for their ads? Whatever you do, put it loud and clear.

•Why you: Here you want to highlight what makes you different from the others. You should highlight this in your landing page first, and elaborate on it later. This could be in your values, or something advantageous about your offer or your team ...

•Show your team: If you feel comfortable showing up to your visitors, then you should do it. This particularly helps in establishing higher trust and reassaurance.

•Add social proof: If you have reviews and/or testimonials from past clients, you should add a section where you list them all as proof of your expertise and competence in what you do, and you surely know very well how important that is to prospects.

Writing an about page is not exact science, elements can take different shapes of arrangement - you’ll see people starting with their value proposition, others starting with introducing their team members, and some others starting with their story. Whatever the case, writing an eloquent, coherent piece that includes the necessary information is the key factor at play here.

Typography surely ranks very high among the visual elements of branding in terms of importance.

The same word can assume astonishingly different connotations by merely changing its font.

That is why considering the "right" typeface for your brand is crucial in conveying the vibe and tone you wish to transmit to your target audience.
