Hats Off Productions - Paris

Hats Off to Disney for introducing the main plot themes of « Hamlet » to the little ones in « The Lion King ». There are lots of great things about this story: the narrative, the characters and the songs, which made it into a beautiful and very touching show. The kids 🎼Just🎶couldn’t🎵wait🎶to be🎵(in Lion) Kiiiiing!🎵

The Witches - another beloved story by Roald Dahl. The show was planned for 2021, so when schools shows were off because of the pandemic, we turned out theater class into a film class and with the magic power of the green screen and post production, the kids were able to have a magical experience indeed!

What better script for our little actors to learn and improve both their expression and use of English than “My Fair Lady”? This show was so beloved that we did it in three versions, each group of children planting their own creative seeds into it!

The BFG tells a heart-warming story about a good, friendly giant, that traps nightmares and sends off lovely dreams to children, unlike the other giants, whose deeds are nightmarish in themselves. We are very fond of this productions, where the little actors (only 5-6 years old at that time) were not only so brave and expressive, but also learnt lovely dances and songs. 🎶🥰

Our young performers had a blast with this one, both on show day and while preparing for it: we warmed up with tongue twisters, dances our shoes off and excelled at character work and improvisation.

After being lost, meeting friends that hadn’t realized they have superpowers and defeating evil forces, Dorothy realizes there’s no place like home. Our little performers went straight into the arms of their parents. We had the final curtain call after the hug 🤗

The Lorax, by Dr.Seuss! A story about how the environment gets filled with gluppity-glupp the more Oncelers insist on biggering their productions of Thneed. 🫣

Two years ago, our production of "The Twits" - an adaptation of the novel by Roald Dahl - marked the end of the confinement. Mr. Twit had a beard full of food crumbs, Mrs. Twit walked with a cane that kept on growing... 🤣
