Do you like sourdough bread?🥨🇨🇵

Jean Marc Bordonnat- Boulangerie Mason

French Riviera, Nice. Great weather, azure blue sea, palm trees ...and a home of an award winning artisan bakery owned by Jean Marc Bordonnat.

Jean-Marc is more famous for his sourdough breads and he kept his family levain alive for four generations.

Probably one of the prettiest bakeries I have seen. The beautiful imperial red front with handpainted tiles on both sides and marble steps leading you to the elegant shop. The service is great. Very cheerful, helpful and enthusiastic. There are mostly sourdoughs on the shelves. Pain de Campagne, Rye, seaded sordough.

Jean Marc’s bakery is a MUST in Nice!

🌺 What I really do: I create unforgettable memories for you all💛

THE LAVENDER, PROVENCE🪻💜🇲🇫

To whom it may concern🪻

There is so much to see and do during your visit to the Cote d’Azur and whilst you are enjoying this stunningly beautiful and fascinating region of France, there is always one place calling you, one place you long to see but it is quite far away and difficult to get to via public transport - that place is the magical Lavender fields of Valensole, Provence.

🪻 Valensole is situated in the middle of a magnificent plateau of lavender and almond trees and is true to its name: Valensole comes from the Latin "vallis" and "solis" meaning the valley of sun🌞

🪻 Valensole has been able to conserve its character and charm typical of Haute Provence villages. It is a pleasure to stroll through the narrow streets of the old city. It is also a health resort well appreciated for its pure fresh air. The countryside all around (le plateau de Valensole) is perfectly beautiful especially in the spring when the almond trees are in bloom. In the summer aromas of lavender and thym waft through the air confirming the fact that Valensole is one of the most important producers of lavender in Provence.

💒🪻Sénanque Abbey – for many people, this is the most iconic place to see lavender fields in Provence and as a result, the working monastery gets very crowded with tourists.

🪻 When to visit Valensole?⤵️
First things first: the lavender is not in bloom all year round, not even all summer long! In Provence, it starts being in full bloom around mid-June and most lavender fields are cut on the second to third week of July.

‼️Beware: you won't see any nice looking lavender in August!
Enjoy your summer time in Provence in lavender fields🪻
