Our students at in the charming Ville Rose of Toulouse organized an amazing karaoke to celebrate the Week of Francophonie.
Used to mean “Definitely / Totally / Absolutely!”, this is the ultimate way to agree with someone or emphasize an action. It’s much more casual and common in daily conversation than just saying “oui.”
Examples:
“– Tu veux venir avec nous ? – Carrément !” (– Do you want to come with us? – Definitely!)
“Il a carrément oublié son rendez-vous.” (He totally forgot his appointment.)
Synonyms: Absolument, tout à fait, grave ! 🇫🇷
