LETTER OF FAREWELL TO SOCIALS

Hi, everyone!
The New Year 2026 has brought us a sad surprise.
As many ones among you might already know, Alan Jess had lost all his social media accounts (including 40,000 subscribers and a former YouTube channel with millions views) already back in 2019, due to a similar reason of hacking.
This time, he thought he would be sufficiently protected, but no one is ever safe nowadays, and unfortunately certain hackers know how to attack us despite the best informatic defenses.
To those who are fortunately still unharmed, we remind you that we are all at risk.
Alan sends his sincere sympathy to all his acquaintances (and there are many) who are experiencing the same exact problem. We understand you with all our heart, and we are sorry to see you so heartbroken and devastated.
Today it was your turn – those of you who are experiencing or risk to suffer similar situations, due to the same mass attack targeting 15.5 million Instagram users on January 10, 2026.

We hope some employees working for the Meta company can do something about this in the future, but for now we can only silently accept to lose everything we had. Plus, their automatic systems, recognizing compromised and risky IDs on all our devices, prevent us from even creating new accounts.
This is the case with Alan, who, despite repeatedly using various iPhones, smartphones, iPads, iMacs and PCs in a desperate attempt to get back online, has encountered a wall of obstacles and verification systems every time he created new accounts and is currently isolated from social media.
After all, we are looking for alternative solutions to avoid falling into the same spiral of problems always encountered with Meta in a daily basis: let’s not forget that Alan Jess has lost two communities (2007-2019, 2019-2025) with which he used to share his content, always with great enthusiasm and passion.
To put it honestly, Meta’s lack of support and strict policy are the true responsable factors to be blamed for having nullified the equivalent of 13 + 6 years, which in total have now amounted to almost twenty years of online career wasted, hard daily work given away for free, to the advantage of Facebook first and Instagram then.
This latest brutal cyber attack was just another “tabula rasa” (Latin for return to the beginning, or total reset) for Alan, who, after this fatal wound hitting him on an old scar which, at this point, was believed to be healed by now, he will be forced once more to throw these adored communities in the garbage and renounce to his social media presence. Although giving up on social networks almost entirely might look like a radical choice, it became a necessary one, albeit painful, considering that he will be cut off from all of You. 😢

If in 2019 we had already contacted Meta 52 times, without receiving any response from humans but only from artificial intelligences incapable of helping, we deluded ourselves that by rolling up our sleeves and getting back to work, we would be able to get the situation under control and rebuild his community from scratch. Yet here we are, back where we started; history repeats itself in a rather similar way. Welcome to the third millennium. Let's hope for brighter technological horizons... 🌈

For now, we dream of seeing one other again in a future community, probably elsewhere, far away from dangerous and toxic places like Facebook and Instagram... Who knows, maybe on a new Alan Jess website? 🔜

For now, we will continue to see each other on the new videos of Alan Jess regularly posted on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, which have held up quite well, far from being perfect between one drastic algorithm cut and another...

On the other hand, here are our apologies to every single one of the 21,000 supporters who might have felt confused about the situation (once again, same one as 2019) as they realized they have just been abruptly cut off from Alan without any explanation and are currently trying to reach him through any of his social platforms run by Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
On the other side of the screen, in complete social silence, your Alan wants you to be aware that he is close to all of You, and responds to each of You with the warmth of a heartfelt "Thank you" for accompanying us throughout this amazing journey! Hoping the next one will be even better 🙏🏻

Salve a tutti!
L’anno nuovo 2026 ci ha riservato una triste sorpresa.
Come forse molti di voi sapranno, già nel 2019 Alan Jess aveva perso tutti i socials (inclusi 40000 iscritti, nonché un vecchio canale YouTube che godeva di numeri di visualizzazione pari a milioni) per via di un motivo simile di hackeraggio.
Questa volta pensava di essersi protetto abbastanza, ma in nessun caso non si è mai al sicuro, e purtroppo certi hackers sanno colpirci nonostante le migliori difese informatiche.
A chi per propria fortuna è ancora incolume, ricordiamo che siamo tutti a rischio.
Alan manda la sua sincera solidarietà a tutti i suoi conoscenti (e sono tanti), che stanno lamentando lo stesso problema. Vi capiamo con tutto il cuore, e ci dispiace vedervi così affranti e distrutti.
Oggi è toccato a voi che state passando o rischiate di passare situazioni simili per via dello stesso attacco di massa effettuato ai danni di 15 milioni e mezzo di utenti Instagram il giorno 10 gennaio 2026.

Speriamo che qualche dipendente della Meta company possa fare qualcosa in futuro, ma per il momento possiamo soltanto accettare in silenzio di vederci portar via tutto ciò che avevamo. Inoltre i loro sistemi automatici, riconoscendo gli ID compromessi e a rischio su tutti i nostri dispositivi, ci impediscono di creare persino nuovi accounts.
Questo è il caso di Alan, che, pur avendo utilizzato più volte vari iPhones, smartphones, iPad, iMac e PC nel tentativo di ritornare online, ogni volta che ha creato nuovi account si è trovato un muro di ostacoli e sistemi di verifica e per il momento si ritrova isolato dai social media.
Dopotutto, stiamo cercando delle soluzioni alternative per non ricadere nello stesso vortice di problemi incontrati con Meta ogni santo giorno: non si dimentichi che ad Alan Jess è costato la perdita di ben due communities (2007-2019, 2019-2025) con cui condivideva i suoi contenuti artistici, sempre con grande entusiasmo e passione.
A dirla onestamente, la mancanza di supporto da parte di Meta e la loro gestione chiusa di mente sono i due fattori responsabili che hanno vanificato l’equivalente di 13 + 6 anni di duro lavoro quotidiano, che nel complesso sono divenuti ormai quasi vent’anni buttati via, regalati a Facebook prima e Instagram poi. Quest’ultimo durissimo cyber attacco è stato per Alan solo il nuovo, ennesimo “tabula rasa” (Latino per ritorno al principio, o azzeramento totale) e lui, dopo questo fatale colpo di grazia inferto su una vecchia cicatrice creduta ormai rimarginata, sarà costretto a cestinare ancora una volta le adorate communities e rinunciare alla sua presenza nei socials. Gettare la spugna con i socials potrà sembrare una scelta radicale ma è divenuta necessaria, per quanto d’altra parte dolorosa, visto che resterà tagliato fuori da tutti Voi. 😢

Se nel 2019 avevamo già provveduto a contattare Meta 52 volte, senza ottenere risposta da parte di esseri umani ma solo intelligenze artificiali incapaci di aiutarci, ci eravamo illusi che rimboccandoci le maniche e tornando a lavorare duramente avremmo recuperato la situazione in mano ricostruendo la community da capo. Eppure eccoci tornati al punto di partenza, la storia si ripete in maniera piuttosto analoga. Benvenuti nel terzo millennio. Speriamo in orizzonti tecnologici più luminosi... 🌈

Per il momento, sognamo di rivederci in una prossima community, probabilmente altrove, lontano da luoghi pericolosi come Facebook e Instagram… Chissà, magari su un nuovo website?
Per ora continuiamo a vederci coi nuovi video di Alan Jess su piattaforme, quali YouTube e TikTok, che hanno resistito, lontani dalla perfezione fra un drastico taglio da parte dell’algoritmo e l’altro… 🔜

D’altro canto, ecco qui le nostre scuse rivolte a ciascuno dei 21000 sostenitori che potranno essersi sentiti confusi riguardo alla situazione (ancora la medesima del 2019), vedendosi brutalmente tagliati da Alan senza alcuna spiegazione, e adesso stiano cercando di raggiungerlo tramite una qualsiasi delle due piattaforme sociali gestite da Meta (Facebook e Instagram).
Dall’altro lato dello schermo, nel silenzio sociale completo, il Vostro Alan desidera che lo sappiate vicino a tutti Voi, e sta rispondendo a ciascuno di Voi con il calore di un sentito “Grazie” per averci accompagnato in questo bellissimo viaggio! Sperando che il prossimo sarà ancora migliore... 🙏🏻
