Mini Fastnet 2026 🥳😶‍🌫️☁️

A very foggy 600nm trip to fastnet and back for .moriya and I, completed in 4j, 14hrs, 59mins. Earning us a 24th of 54 boats in series.

Prominent themes of this race included: fog, a rig climb, gennak issues, current charts, and more fog 🌫️

I have so many people to thank for helping me get to the start and finish line for this race. for taking care of me in the few days before the race, making tea, food, having me watch lilo and stitch as an emotional outlet the night before and even providing choccy cake prior to off-dock. ☕️🧁
To and for welcoming me into the DMG team, allowing us to raid your freezedried for .moriya Japanese rice needs! 🇯🇵
To .phillips (matsutec master) who helped me with waypoints just before the cut off for handing in all our tech when my gps wouldn’t behave. 😭🤯
To and her skipper Stephan for convincing me it wasn’t too scary to dive the hull (and for doing it with me) 🤿🫧
And a huge thanks to .moriya for joining me! Called up the day before the race (due to some weird French miss comms 🙃) we quickly built trust and worked through lots of challenges together! We looked after each other, learnt a lot and managed to perform well too. I’m so grateful 🥰.
