Avant le déménagement, je vide l’atelier: dernières pièces, braderie et encore quelques dates disponibles pour les ateliers. 🍶

A new matcha set, shaped for small daily rituals.

This porcelain ensemble brings together three essential pieces: a bowl, a small cup, and a holder for the bamboo whisk.

I imagined it as a quiet companion for slow mornings or peaceful breaks, a set made not only to be useful, but to make the whole experience feel more special.

The subtle grooves on the cup and raised details on the bowl add a tactile dimension too, inviting the hands to feel the pieces as much as to use them.

Simple forms, soft presence, and that beautiful pause that matcha always seems to bring with it.

A small but important life update.

After 15 wonderful years in France, I’m moving back to Spain with my little family.
A personal and family decision.
A return to my home country, to my roots.

France will always have a very special place in my heart.

It is here that MAGO LAB was born.
Here is where I was able to turn a dream into reality and slowly grow it into the studio and brand it is today.

None of this would have been possible without you.

Your support, your curiosity, your kindness and your love for handmade objects have allowed me to grow both as an artisan and as a brand.

My last month at the C’est Fait Ici shop in Caserne de Bonne will be March, and the workshop will remain active until early May for the last workshops with .

After that, production will pause while I relocate and set up MAGO LAB again in Spain to continue this adventure.

A new chapter begins.

Lunch with a view. 🏔️

This simple porcelain bowl carries a small mountain landscape all around it.

The drawing actually begins inside the mould. Before casting the porcelain, I apply coloured slip directly into the mould so the decoration becomes part of the piece itself.

Once the bowl is fired, I come back with a very fine line of glossy glaze to redraw the contours, almost like ink on paper.

Somewhere between a Japanese woodblock landscape and a comic illustration.

A small journey… for a simple everyday meal. ☀️🥗

Entre le dessin et la matière.
Entre ce qui reste et ce qui change.

Dans mon travail, tout commence par la forme.
Une forme pensée, dessinée, mise au point avec précision, puis fixée dans le moule.
Elle ne bouge plus, elle se répète, fidèle, presque silencieuse.

Et puis vient la décoration.
Là où tout redevient libre.
Même au sein d’une même collection, le geste varie, l’imagination glisse autrement, le rythme change.
Chaque pièce devient unique, différente, vivante.

De la rencontre de deux gestes artisanaux est né ce coffret pensé pour les enfants, de 1 à 12 ans.

Deux objets qui se répondent, faits pour être utilisés, offerts, transmis.
Cette collaboration a vu le jour grâce au cadre et à l’élan de notre association C’est Fait Ici , qui fait naître les rencontres et les idées partagées.

Un cadeau sensible, fait main, pour accompagner les petits rituels du quotidien

👋 Hi! I’ve been meaning to make a little post about who I am and how I create — and thanks to the beautiful new photos took, today is the day! 😄

I’m Iván — the head and hands (and sometimes the chaos) behind MAGO LAB.

I design and make porcelain pieces that live somewhere between everyday life and small poetry. My work blends design, craft, art and a bit of obsession for detail — always chasing that quiet balance between form, beauty and use.

I’m an active member of the local crafts association , because when we share skills and energy, we can go further.
And also a proud member of Ateliers d’Art de France — the national guild for French fine crafts.

I spend my days between clay, drawings and endless cups of Sencha tea 🍵 (my little obsession — that’s why I make so many tea things).

I care deeply about how objects are made and their impact on the planet, so I design and produce everything with sustainability in mind.

In the end, my goal is simple: to make life a little easier — and a lot more joyful! ✨😄
