I had the immense joy of being invited by dear .sissoko and 🥰 to open the evening ; a moment filled with trust, warmth, and music that felt deeply shared. My heartfelt thanks to and as well, for standing so close, for their kindness, their presence, and their quiet strength throughout it all.

There are moments when you become fully aware of how fortunate you are : to be surrounded by such care, such generosity, such love.

At sunset, this Palestinian hill becomes a threshold. The sun drowns in the Mediterranean. The sea is there. The light leaves. I cannot reach one. I cannot save the other.

July 2024

2025 unfolded through loss and movement, through grief and quiet acts of letting go. A cycle loosened its grip, carrying its share of trials. Some chapters closed so others could find their way open. Between stages, roads, and recordings, I was held by family, loved ones, friends; those who remained when things were fragile, through patience and love. The music shifted, and so did I. Grateful, altered, still becoming..

The olive branch has long been a symbol of peace, once offered to enemies, now carried on flags and even left on the Moon by Apollo 11 as a wish for all humanity.
Olive oil has been pressed since ancient times: traces 8,000 years old were found near Nazareth, and in Greece it nourished, healed, lit lamps, and even darkened eyes as early makeup.
The tree itself has been sacred and protected; in Greece, uprooting too many brought fines, and in parts of France, Spain, and Italy, selling old trees is still forbidden.

Rooted in the long summers and mild winters of the Mediterranean, the olive has spread across the world. It feeds us with fruit and oil, gives shade in summer, wood for winter heat, and even clean energy from its waste. Its ashes return to the earth as fertilizer.

The olive tree is remarkably resilient, surviving droughts and reviving even after wildfires. But ..No resilience can guard it against cruelty and psychopathic destruction.
