New .fun installation in NYC 🚇👾♥️

Cool social experiment - what happens if we stop scrolling and start having fun? We’re all so tuned out and disconnected - glued to algorithms, not even acknowledging each other. Just because we’re on our individual journeys (both real and symbolic) doesn’t mean we have to be alone 😋

Attended ’s production of “The Enchanted Flute” this week and was super interested in finding out more. It’s such a strange piece - a mix of secret Masonic symbolism and codes, highly technical singing, and then very “pop culture” mass audience appeal (gags, jokes, silliness). It feels like the equivalent of something like the tv show “Lost” where it was a massive hit in a popular way but also has all sorts of hidden deeper complexities. Anyway, super cool experience if you get to see it!!

4 artistic installations in NYC, using the steam pipes around the city as sources of creative inspiration. A fun opportunity to take something boring and imagine how I can bring whimsy and charm into the mundane. 🏙️ 🎨

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I’m so thankful I get to share my creativity with all of you 🥰

P.S. Linguistic pun alert:
In Italian, *aria* means “air” and *gatto* means “cat,” so I was very tempted to write “Duomo-aria-gatto” to describe the scene (cathedral + air pump + cat). But I wasn’t sure everyone would catch the nod to “domo arigato” — the Japanese phrase for “thank you very much.”

And sure, the maneki-neko cat is technically about luck and prosperity, but it also means “beckoning/welcoming cat,” which feels pretty perfect for Thanksgiving.
