Hi, I’m Niamh – and this is EnglishClass.Bab 🌿
I’m an English teacher and mum — and after 20+ years of teaching around the world, I’ve finally landed somewhere that feels like home: Anglet.

I created EnglishClass.Bab to bring something fresh, warm, and human to English learning for kids — something beyond textbooks and grammar drills. My classes are playful, movement-based, and full of colour, creativity, and connection.

🧒 I work with children aged 3–12
📓Small classes with maximum 6 children
🎨 We learn through games, music, storytelling, and hands-on activities
🗣️ We speak only in English from day one — but it’s never scary!
🧘‍♀️ And we move! Because kids learn better when their bodies are included too.

I’m originally from Ireland, and over the years I’ve taught everywhere from oil companies in Brazil to Montessori schools, bilingual crèches, and private homes. I’m qualified in both Early Years Education and TEFL, but what really shapes my teaching is my belief that language grows best in joyful, low-pressure spaces.

This week in our BaB English class, the letter P took us on a pirate adventure! 🦜
We dove under the sea to find P-tastic treasures, practiced spotting uppercase & lowercase P’s, and fed them to our hungry pirate! 💬🍽️

We read “P is for Pirate” by Eve Bunting, sang the Letter P Phonics Song, and even started reading words all by ourselves from our SATPIN book – words like pin, pat, pan, and pit! 📚✨

These classes are playful, active, and 100% in English — designed to build confidence through movement, games, and phonics fun!
