Two weeks ago I had the chance to walk the Kaloka Youth Association through their new Digital Hub, going over what's live, what's working, and where the platform could grow in the years ahead.

Breaking it down in a way that makes sense to non-technical users, not just fellow devs, is a skill we take just as seriously as the code itself. At the end of the day, they're the ones using it, not us.

A total of 1958 will be offered through the Solomon Islands Government next year 2027.

Application for the scholarships is now open.

The scholarships cater for those wishing to upgrade skills training at rural training centres in the country to undertaking their Phd studies overseas.

The National Scholarships Division within the Solomon Islands Tertiary Education and Skills Authority announced that submissions of all scholarships is open from Sunday 19th July until Sunday 27th September 2026.

The scholarships are offered as fully-funded, tuition only and under constituency.

Papua New Guinea through its bilateral deal is also supporting the scholarships for those wishing to study in PNG institutions.

The scholarships opens for those wish to further their education and gained qualification at institutions in the country and overseas.

All applications more than two months to process their applications online.

Young Entrepreneurs Council Solomon Islands (YECSI) Chairman Limahl Totogi has encouraged young people to dream big, embrace opportunities and never be afraid of failure.

Speaking at the launch of Kaloka Youth Association's inclusive website, he described the launch as a milestone, saying the new website will open doors to greater visibility, partnerships and digital opportunities.

IT'S OFFICIAL! 🎉

Truly honored to have joined the Kaloka Youth Association today, 24th July 2026, alongside key stakeholders including the Chair of YECSI, Kaloka Youth leadership, and others to officially witness and run through the site.

This is a historic moment, not just for Kaloka Youth Association, but for me personally as a software developer still Completing Uni as well. Seeing a project go live and start serving a community is a milestone I don't take for granted.

This is only the beginning, content is still being populated, and there's plenty more to build. But today marks the official start.

Grateful to be part of empowering Isabel Province youth through tech.
