Meet Abdul Majid Khan, an international UN Volunteer from Pakistan who is currently serving as a Multimedia and Design Specialist in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
Abdul's mission is to turn complex government and election information into clear, beautiful, and culturally relevant visual stories.
His daily work supports the Solomon Islands Electoral Commission by creating everything from voter education videos to social media campaigns.
His biggest challenge is making sure this vital public information connects with diverse communities across different languages and cultural backgrounds.
"Volunteering creates a direct human connection," Abdul says. "It is rewarding to see how design and communication can support democratic engagement and contribute to meaningful change."
Serving abroad has also accelerated Abdulβs professional growth, sharpening his ability to build communication strategies for multicultural audiences in fast-paced international environments.
