Finally, the big moment has arrived! We are proud to announce the selection of our Fiji Deaf Men’s and Women’s National Rugby 7s Teams, including our non-travelling reserve players in the Women’s Team, for the World Deaf Rugby 7s Championship 2026 in Japan later this month! 🇫🇯💙

👏🏽🔥 A special congratulations to our three outstanding Fijian players selected to play for the Barbarians in Japan! What an incredible achievement!

We acknowledge every player’s hard work, dedication, courage, and commitment to Fiji Deaf Rugby. Whether travelling to Japan or serving as a non-travelling reserve, every player is an important part of our team and our journey.

May God guide, strengthen, and protect our players as they prepare for this international championship. Let us continue to support one another with pride, respect, and unity. 💪🏽🏉

Day 11– 08/10/2026 🏉🏊‍♀️

This morning, the FDRU team went to the swimming pool for a recovery session after our competition and test matches over the past two days.

It was a great opportunity for our players to relax, recover our bodies, and prepare for the next training session. 🙏

Thank you, Lord, for this amazing opportunity and for continuing to guide and strengthen our team throughout this journey.

A big Vinaka vakalevu to the Fiji Deaf Rugby Women’s Team for doing so well today! 💪🏉❤️

Special thanks to one of our players, Adi Lusiana’s parents, for bringing watermelon 🍉 for all the players to share and enjoy during the hot and sunny day. It was very refreshing and much appreciated! ☀️🍉

The women’s team also learned a lot from our men’s team during training, especially by watching and developing new rugby skills together.

Day 10– 07/10/2026 | Part 1 🏉🇫🇯

The Fiji Deaf Rugby Women’s Team prepared for our test match at the MBHS ground. Our Fiji Deaf Rugby Men’s Team came to cheer and support us from the field. 💪🏉

A big Vinaka vakalevu to our physio team for assisting and supporting the women’s team throughout the games. 🙏❤️

Together, we support each other as one team! 🇫🇯💙

This morning, the women’s team went jogging and walking around Albert Park to prepare for our test match in the afternoon, while the men’s team completed their hill-running session. 💪🏉

We, the Fiji Deaf Women’s team, came out to cheer and support our Fiji Deaf Men’s Rugby 7s team as they played against the Fiji Airways Men’s 7s extended squad in a friendly match today. Proud to support our brothers! 💪🏉🇫🇯

Fiji Deaf Men’s 7s took on the Fiji Airways Men’s 7s extended squad in a friendly match today as part of their preparations for the World Deaf Rugby Sevens Championship in Japan. 🇫🇯🏉

Day 9 – 6/10/2026 🏉💪🏽

This morning, our Fiji Deaf Rugby Women’s Team continued their training with hill running and fitness exercises. It was another challenging session as we continue to build our strength, endurance, and teamwork. 💪🏽🔥

Meanwhile, our men’s team went for a walk around Albert Park as they prepared for their friendly competition against FRU 7s at PCU around 3:00pm today.

Every day brings a new challenge and another opportunity to improve together as one team. ❤️🏉
