Having progressed from Program Officer to Senior Program Manager, Miliakere’s appointment reflects her leadership, dedication, and commitment to advancing gender equality and social justice in Fiji.

A legal practitioner by profession, she brings extensive experience in program management, safeguarding, and organisational development, supported by a strong academic background that includes a Bachelor of Legislative Law, postgraduate qualifications in business and management, and most recently, an MBA from the University of the South Pacific.

The Students at the Leaders Forum had the valuable opportunity to hear from Mr Sheraj Obeyesekere, Chief Executive Officer of the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX), who provided an insightful overview of Fiji’s stock exchange and its operations. The session highlighted how SPX facilitates the buying and selling of shares, supports business growth, and contributes to Fiji’s economic development. Students learned about the various investment opportunities available to both individuals and organisations, including shares, bonds, and other financial instruments. The discussion emphasized the importance of investing for long-term wealth creation and financial security. Overall, the presentation enhanced students’ understanding of the capital market and the role of SPX in Fiji’s financial sector.

From hard days to proud moments, Ms Relina Neemia’s journey has been one of faith, determination, and perseverance.

Beginning her MBA while unemployed, she overcame every challenge with courage and patience. Today, she proudly graduates from the MBA Programme at The University of the South Pacific Samoa Campus.
