Highland Escape - August Long Weekend While we generally avoid weekend trips to not interfere with our community partners' village functions, sabbaths, and school routines, we're excited to share that our partners have added a special weekend trip specifically for Fiji residents who find it difficult to make it during the week!

It was a perfect day for hiking to Mount Korobaba!

**MT KOROBABA HIKE – THIS SATURDAY 11 JULY 2026** 🥾🌄
Come and enjoy one of the **best views of Suva** from the summit of **Mt Korobaba (Lami)!**
📅 **Date:** Saturday, 11 July 2026
📍 Meeting Point: Holiday Inn, Suva
🕖 Time: 7:15 AM for a 7:30 AM departure
🚗 Bring your car if you can so we can carpool. If needed, we'll share taxis.
🥾 The hike starts from the Cement Factory at 8:00 AM.
⏱️ **Duration:** Approximately 4 hours return
⚠️ **Difficulty:** Moderate to Advanced
NB: The last quarter of the climb is very steep
💚 **Cost:** FREE for Fiji Rucksack Club members

New members are welcome! Annual membership fees are:
• Family: $20
• Individual: $15
• Visitors (less than 3 months remaining in Fiji): 50% discount
New members will be required to sign the Fiji Rucksack Club Membership and Waiver Form, and pay the annual membership fee ($20 for family, $15 for individuals, or 50% for visitors (less than 3 months in Fiji) before or on Saturday. You can fill the membership form online or bring the filled in hard copy. If you pay your membership fee on Saturday, please bring the correct change.
