In solidarity with the missing nine from our St. Columban Community in Vatuwaqa the Parish came together in joyful spirits as we presented to the families of these fishermen a little something that would help them. A big vinaka vakalevu to all those who donated items in cash or kind may the blessings of the almighty God come down upon you and your families. Vinaka vakalevu loloma kei na kauwai. Another drive will be done in the future so please keep an eye out on this space.

Catholic patients admitted in the hospital are reminded that chaplains visits are not automatic. If you wish to receive pastoral care during you stay, please take note of the following procedures:

• 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭: The hospital chaplain will only attend to patients upon request.

• 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Patients and their families may contact their parish priest or parish secretary to arrange a visit.

• 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: You may also send a private message directly to the hospital chaplain Fr. Sowani Raivuni.

• 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬: If your desire to be anointed or to receive holy communion, please ensure that you make contact through one of the above channels.

This process ensures that the chaplain is aware of your request and can provide the necessary pastoral care and sacraments during your time in hospital. We encourage all Catholic patients to make use of these avenues so that your spiritual needs are met promptly and respectfully.

We would like to thank the hospital chaplain for his service and his support for our Catholic patients.

Vinaka.

Therefore the Parish will be accepting donations of any kind (groceries/monetary) which can be dropped off at the Parish office. All monetary donations received will be receipted by the Parish office.
