๐บ๐ธโ๏ธ๐ซ๐ฏ Chargรฉ d'Affaires John Degory hosted a welcome reception for the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane crew alongside members of the Republic Of Fiji Navy and defense corps celebrating their contribution to our shared maritime security as we prepare to celebrate 250 years of American independence.
CDA Degory shared that the U.S. Coast Guard's presence in the Pacific is rooted on friendship and shared history.
"Decades of engagement, of shared patrols, of training side by side, of responding together to disasters and mariners in distress โ these experiences have forged enduring bonds that continue to deepen and mature," he said.
The USCGC Harriet Lane moored last week with the crew engaged in media engagements, ship tours, and community relations activities.
