FIPRA is a non-profit organisation which was established in 1993 to administer the performing rights of its' local composer and songwriter members. Under a licence agreement with APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association), FIPRA also represents the performing rights of over 2 million foreign composers whenever their musical works are performed or communicated to the public throughout the Fiji Islands.

Important update: The 2026 FIPRA Music Awards, previously scheduled for 23 May, has been rescheduled to Saturday, 5 September 2026 due to the current economic climate. The FIPRA Board remains committed to delivering a prestigious, high-quality ceremony that properly recognises and celebrates the achievements of Fiji’s songwriters and performers. We appreciate the patience and ongoing support of our members, partners and the public — further details on ticketing and the finalist shortlist will be announced in the coming months. The VOTING PHASE for the 2026 FIPRA Music Awards is about to begin!

Voting for FIPRA Members officially opens on Wednesday, 13th May.

All FIPRA members are encouraged to take part in selecting the winners across 8 award categories:

Members will soon receive official communication from the Fiji Performing Rights Association - FIPRA office with details on how to participate in the voting process.
