𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲.
The John Wesley Prize Giving Ceremony was held at the Raiwai Methodist Church, bringing together students, parents, guardians, and families who attended in great numbers to celebrate the achievements of these young minds. The atmosphere was filled with pride and excitement as the community gathered to acknowledge both the students’ hard work and the milestone reached by the graduating class.

Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Aliki Bia, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his heartfelt speech, he reflected on his own youth and the challenges he faced, noting that those experiences helped shape the person he has become today. His words served as an inspiring reminder that dedication, resilience, and faith can guide young people toward their goals.

The event was a meaningful celebration of academic excellence, personal growth, and community support. Congratulations to all the graduates, and best wishes as they step confidently into 2026 and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Suva – July 18, 2025:
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has commended the cadets of John Wesley College for their hard work, discipline, and unwavering determination during their cadet training program, which culminated in a formal parade held on Friday, July 18.

Addressing the cadets, Commissioner Tudravu praised their dedication and the strength of character they displayed throughout the intensive training. He emphasized the importance of willpower and commitment, qualities that were clearly demonstrated by the students during their drills and preparations.

During the ceremony, special awards were presented to outstanding cadets, including the Best Female Cadet and Best Male Cadet. Other cadets were also honoured for exceptional performance and leadership throughout the training period.

Commissioner Tudravu congratulated all award recipients and encouraged the cadets to carry the values they had learned into every aspect of their lives.

The event, held on the college grounds, was attended by proud parents, teachers, senior officers, and invited guests, who witnessed a well-executed parade that marked the end of weeks of hard work and preparation.

In a heartfelt and stirring address, the Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu, spoke with deep respect and pride to the cadets of John Wesley College during their Cadet Pass-Out Parade. He urged the cadets to make wise decisions and stay mindful of their responsibilities—not only to themselves but also to their families. "Always remember your parents and the sacrifices made for you," he said. “Be proud of today, but use it as a foundation to build a better tomorrow.”

One of the most powerful moments in his speech was his rallying call to the cadets: “Rise up and rebuild your young lives.” It was a statement of hope and empowerment, urging young people not to be defined by their circumstances but to take control of their futures with determination and integrity.

Commissioner Tudravu also delivered a heartfelt plea to parents and guardians, urging them to never give up on their children. He emphasized that investing in children is among the greatest contributions one can make. “Hold their hands until they are ready to stand on their own,” he advised, reinforcing the need for parental guidance, patience, and unwavering support in these formative years.

Lastly, the Commissioner recognized the collaborative efforts between the Police and Military Forces in making the cadet program a resounding success. He highlighted the importance of unity and shared responsibility in shaping the next generation.

Suva, July 18 – Albert Park came alive yesterday as John Wesley College held its official pass-out ceremony for their cadets, marking the culmination of months of rigorous training and discipline. Proud families, friends, and school staff gathered in large numbers to show their support and celebrate the achievements of the cadets.
The ceremony highlighted the core values of the cadet program—resilience , determination, and discipline—which were not only taught, but embodied by the students throughout their journey. These principles were on full display as cadets marched with precision and pride, showcasing the hard work they had invested during their training.
