NEW SONG!

”There’s a hole in my soul into which I have fallen
A deep piercing recess of death and despair
A darkness that gathers ’til it fully contains me
And unscrews the cork of who I most fear

Bottleneck blues and jug band music
Have sustained my hunger and quenched half of my thirst
The other half is still roaming the darkness beneath me
Where I hope for the best, but still fear the worst

CHORUS
Oh Holy hole deep in my soul
King and redeemer, demon and seer / vodka and b**r
Waiting below: hook, line and sinker
You made me whole, then you
you tore me apart

My dead father’s voice lures me yet deeper
Beyond working memory and the sands of time
Across the divide I stumble and teeter
The fruit never falls that far from the vine

In that bottomless pit there’s a body of still water
An undisturbed surface with no detail or trace
I peer in it’s mirror to find my lost father
Just to see my own self staring back at my face

CHORUS
Oh Holy hole deep in my soul
The well of desire and the pit of despair
The waiter and landlord for God’s lonely drinker
You swallowed me whole &
Threw me up in my face”
