And just like that, another summer spent with a sport I love has flown by 😀 The summer brought a mix of disappointments, successes, personal growth, and new lessons—everything this great sport has to offer. For me, this summer was unique because Team Centodieci was a new acquaintance. The team proved to be determined and ambitious, resulting in multiple podium finishes and series championships—way to go, us! A fantastic team! Lumi and I primarily competed in the new Mini 60 class of the IAME series. The early part of the season, in particular, saw some impressive performances, and Lumi is going to be a force to be reckoned with next season! I also had the honor of helping a fine young man, Niklas Jurvela, secure the championship in the X30 Micro class! It was also great having my son Eepi work as a mechanic for Pasi Puustinen; the guys even made it to the podium once—awesome! Now it’s time for some rest, and we’ll see what we come up with for next year.

Last week we had a race week in Lahti where it was Iame Series Finland 7/8 races.

This time we participated to the X30 Senior class which is the top class on the series. I was the youngest driver there. Last time I was driven with karting was almost 2 months ago but still able to find rhythm quickly. Also the tires were new for me.

Race day 1 was difficult because one more experienced senior driver pushed on to the corner so that she went over my car and I got dnf on the q1. Q2 also got dnf since the mechanic made a mistake and my tyre dropped on the warmup lap.
So then my position to the Final start was the last one P28. Final went still positively and I found the speed and was able to cross many drivers and got place P21

Race day 2:
Qualifying was not good P23
On Q1 I found the speed and able to get place P15
Q2 I got bumper penalty which dropped me to the 21 or something.
On final my starting place was P19.
So then let’s go to the Final!! My speed was very good same lap times as the Top6. I was rapidly taking the positions even though some more experienced senior drivers were not driving very cleverly. I was in very good positions to take the P7 position on the final but then on last corner before the last lap one Senior driver pushed me and himself out from the track and that’s it! That was very stupid move.

Still all in all I am proud of myself and driving on Senior class was a great fun ☺️

Aivan huikea finaali tänään. Märälle radalle kaikki lähtivät slickseillä. Eepi oli ihan päällikkö sateella, siellä vaan patjat pöllysi kun Max Verstappen painoi menemään. Parhaimmillaan oltiin jo kolmantena ja maalissakin P3 m***a Kilpailutapahtuman johtaja päätti antaa viimeisen kierroksen kyseenalaisesta tilanteesta 5s penaltin.
Ei meillä ollut mitään vaihtoehtoja kuin hyväksyä se kun Iame Series Finland livestream on niin onneton ettei sieltä näe mitään (roskakoppaan koko etäkamerat joutas) eikä meillä ollut omaa kameraa.
