Mind Riot (FIN) returned from the dead to release a new EP Come Undone (2017) and play a show at Tuska Festival’s 20th Anniversary.
New EP Abyss will be released on 17 September 2021. Mind Riot is metal band from Finland, founded in 1990. The band released two albums, Peak (1995) and Inferno Go-Go (1996) for an Italian label Godhead Records. The band quit after Isolation demo in 1997. In 2017 the guitarist/vocalist Tuomo Saikkonen (also known from Mokoma) was asked to resurrect his old band to play a show at Tuska Festival’s 2
0th Anniversary in Helsinki. The front man said yes to the proposition but also decided to finalize a few songs that were written during the years after Mind Riot quit in 1997. Come Undone EP was released on Mokoma founded label Sakara Records on April 26th 2017. The title track has gained 500k streams in Spotify.
“Especially the super catchy riffs and melodies by my guitarist pal Juha (Javanainen) kept haunting me throughout all these years. It was relieving and great fun to finally get them out of our systems”, says Saikkonen. Four years later the band returned to studio to records four new songs with the three time Emma nominee producer Miitri Aaltonen. Abyss EP will be released in September 2021. Mind Riot is:
