A reel to reel 16ch tape recorder? Absolutely, why not?
It's been almost 10 years since I sold my tape machines and now is a perfect time for them to make a comeback in the studio. 🤘

First recording done for a long time! And everything sounds better than ever, very cool!!!!
A lot of new gear in the studio including a bunch of guitars, vintage microphones and Revox A77 tape machine.

Seems like everyone else is going forward with recording concentrating on digital recording and editing but I'm going back!!!

No quantisizing the drums and no auto-tune in vocals. Here you actually have to play the instrument well to make the track sound good!!! 🤟😎

It's been a very busy year, doing a sh*t load of TV-work and it isn't even over yet! Again heading abroad in about a week for some more TV stuff and back in January.
Anyways, I've been using Cubase for almost 20 years and I've always loved it. With studio gear and specially software it's better not to touch anything as long as it works.
BUT... Now is the time to upgrade my trusty Cubase 6 with the brand new Cubase 10. And with this upgrade I'm able to provide faster and more complex service. I'm very excited about this and will be spending the coming weekend pretty much getting to know the new recording software.

Been a while since the last post but it doesn't mean I haven't been busy.
During the last 6 months I've been working in Sicily. Thailand, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and of course in Finland. Various projects have been going on and still is. Some TV post production, TV commercial recording and post, artist recording, etc...
Tomorrow we'll be recording drums for Kajastus, they have 3 new songs coming up.

A lot of TV-work since last fall and a nordic tour coming up in a few days. Really haven't had time to be at the studio but from march on, we'll be recording again!!!

Guitars are all set up, amps are ready to go. Now we just need someone to play...
