Write This Down is a creative agency and production house, specialising in visual communications, films and interactive experiences.
We pride ourselves on aesthetic and meaningful work that contributes to positive change in the world. With over 10 years experience in the creative media sector, our eclectic portfolio includes a collection of documentary, fictional and promotional works for a diverse client base. We have engaged in creative projects in over 20 countries, and have had our work exhibited globally to over 100 million people.
Write This Down and new EdTech start up Lyfta are seeking an excellent and creative editor to work on exciting short documentaries and web content. Projects include an interactive 360 documentary for YLE as well as short films for the UN and a sustainable development foundation.
The ideal candidate will:
- have at least 5 years experience of professional editing
- have experience in cutting drama as well as documentary
- understand how to tell a story
- be well versed in Premiere Pro
- have a working knowledge of After Effects and / or Motion
- be able to perform colour correction and basic grading on the final edit
- be able to perform basic sound mixing and work well with a sound designer
- be able to work in English and Finnish
- be able to show us some work that will trigger an emotion

From early this year, we are proud to have been collaborating with Finn Church Aid and their Eritrean teacher education partners on telling stories about the education landscape in Eritrea, exploring topics such as how we learn, what education could look like in the future, and many more. As a part of this communication we did a hands-on audiovisual training for Eritrean teacher educators.

It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to work with some of the top education experts at FCA and their local partners in Eritrea. Together, we trained 11 teacher educators in two colleges on how to use film for action research.
Some amazing stories were created, exploring topics like how technology can help learning, and what the secret is behind achievement. So proud of the participants dedication and creativity! This is just the beginning....
