Hello! In the past few days I had the opportunity to visit and record in two fantastic studios in Rome: the Blind Faith Studio of Luca Sapio and the Sound Work Shop recording studio of the legendary Italian composer Piero Umiliani. In the latter I had the opportunity to play most of the synthesizers and keyboards that were used by the composer in his compositions / soundtracks, if you know me a little you can imagine the sensations I felt in this experience 😎. I'll be back there in a few weeks to record a music library together with Luca , clearly everything with a cinematic flavor from the 70s and 80s as I like it, with lots of keyboards, synthesizers, Hammond and transistor organs, old drum machines, string machines and more ...stay tuned.🖖

I think it's a good thing to change the layout of the equipment in the studio space once in a while, it helps creatively and is a pleasure for the eyes, it's like working in a new place. Let's start doing something good 😎

These are my Yamaha synthesizers which I am very proud of 🤩 The beauty of these vintage instruments lies not only in the power and sound but also in the look! For many it will sound strange and anachronistic but I do love this vintage "junk" much more than the instruments of today, i like the smell of the capacitors that comes out when they are turned on for many hours, the wood, the metal, the weight .. .in other words, here we are not just talking about musical instruments but also about antiques 😎

The multi-orchestral synthesizers although they are actual synthesizers, however, I don't like to call them such but "String Machines". For people like me, lovers of analog sound that belongs to other eras, these machines are mandatory to cover a palette of sounds difficult to recreate with other synths; this thanks to their built-in chorus effect (ensemble) which gives to these instruments their distinctive sound. In this photo we see the ARP Solina String Ensemble above everything (an instrument that, even without knowing it, you have heard on hundreds of records of the past), then the Italian ELKA Rhapsody 610 and below the Hohner String Performer, all of them strictly from the 70s 😎 I love these beauties ❤️🎹🎹🎹🎹❤️

This is what I call my instant 70's corner: Fender Rhodes Piano, ARP Solina and Korg MS20! When I sit in this corner I completely lose sense of time! I could play for hours without knowing what time it is and where I am, like traveling in a time machine, and anything I record with these instruments sounds like a 70's movie theme. Pure gold for those who understand what I'm talking about 😎.
