Want to know more about the new XL? How about the 2013 Tarseer? We are pretty excited about them and wanted to give you a sneak peek at their "specs" before they are even released so here goes!
The XL is quite a bit bigger than the original Tarseer. With a height of 225cm and a waist circumference of 170cm it should be roomy enough even for a larger sleeper.
Both, the XL and and the regular model feature a new improved suspension setup that has longer suspension cords and is still a lot lighter than the old one.
In addition to new designs, both new models also feature brand new fabrics specially made for us. Our new shell fabric is even lighter than the old one and it's still almost twice as strong.
The Tarseer was already the lightest three season setup on the market but we are always trying to push our designs even further. With the new materials, new cut and new suspension system, the new Tarseer is around 100g lighter than the old one, which is almost a 10% drop in total weight on an Ultralight product.
So when can I have one!?! you may be wondering :)
Both models will be released and available for order next month.
The Tarseer will retain its 499€ price tag. The XL will cost 549€ but it will have an integrated mosquito net as standard(both prices include VAT).

NEWS!, as promised. We are finally coming out with the much requested and eagerly anticipated XL version of the Tarseer for this season. It is both longer and wider than the regular one and features a completely unique cut honed over the past winter. This is just a tease but during the next week we'll be announcing more details on availability, pricing and features of our whole 2013 lineup.

We have been pretty quiet here for a while and an update on the happenings of MadTree is probably long overdue, but rest assured, this doesn't mean that we've been resting on our laurels. Quite the opposite actually. On January, we conducted some very thorough product testing in northern Norway at the shores of the Arctic Ocean(which may be a future be Mad topic). On top of that, we have designed a computer controlled robotic fabric cutter which will aid greatly in our future product development and manufacturing(more on that later on). All this means that we have some pretty sweet Tarseer related announcements coming up soon so stay tuned :)
