We’re incredibly honoured that Jim Cuddy & Friends: Night of Country Classics was awarded Philanthropic Live Event of the Year at this year’s Live Music Awards, presented by the Canadian Live Music Association as part of Departure Festival + Conference.

Congratulations to all of the other deserving nominees. It’s inspiring to be recognized alongside so many meaningful and community-driven live music events from across the country.

Country Classics has always been about coming together through music in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank and we’re deeply grateful to the guest artists who generously donate their time and talent year after year, helping make this night so special.

Thank you as well to our incredible host band, crew, and everyone working behind the scenes whose dedication and musicianship help bring the event to life each year.

A special thank you to Starfish Entertainment for producing the event and helping make the evening possible.

Don’t miss The Chekhov Collective’s seventh Anton Chekhov short story, as part of their Page to Stage Theatrical Readings of Literary Works. This year they are presenting The Princess.

The Princess tells the story of Vera Gavrilovna, a wealthy noblewoman and a tireless admirer of her own virtue. She retreats to a monastery in search of spiritual renewal. Surrounded by polite silence, she takes this as devotion—until a chance meeting with a former doctor from her estate threatens to shatter her delusion.
