We have land in Vera with 30 generous camping pitches. As an eco project our natural pitches are ideal for guests to come on bikes, in tents, camper vans and motorhomes. As VerdeVeras is completely powered by solar,there is no EHU on the pitches, but we have USB charging points in the bar and mains sockets available in the buildings, if needed. We have good wifi across the site, which is free to use. We don't use chemicals onsite so provide natural products for our guests to use. Communal kitchen facilities for those travelling light and our proximity to public transport enable travellers to be independent

We sell fresh eggs from our chickens, have a lovely pool, showers with good pressure and several communal areas. Sometimes we cook & eat together which is perfect for solo travellers or groups who want to socialise & share. Long and short term stays are welcome with options for long-term parking.

Set in a semi-rural landscape just outside the thriving town of Vera, the land offers the best of both worlds: nestled between Mediterranean beaches and mountains for hiking.
Shops, cafés, markets, the bus station and other amenities are within 10 min walking or cycling distance, making local beaches, hiking trails, airports and other towns easily accessible

Long-Term Community Land Caretakers – Southern Spain

Are you craving a slower, more intentional way of living—without being cut off from the world?
We're inviting individuals or couples to join a growing, values-led community on a unique off-grid land project in southern Spain, offering accommodation in exchange for light, meaningful work.
This is not a holiday stay. It's an opportunity to embed yourself in a place, contribute to something evolving, and live close to both nature and everyday life.
🌍 The Location
Set in a semi-rural landscape just outside the thriving town of Vera, the land offers the best of both worlds:
Shops, cafés, markets, and amenities within walking or cycling distance
Close to Mediterranean beaches and mountains for hiking.
Sunshine, open space, and breathing room—without isolation
🌱 What's on Offer
Minimum stay: 1 month. (longer stays strongly preferred)
Accommodation: Own vehicle park-up space or a basic caravan provided.
Facilities: Fully off-grid with toilets, showers, full free WIFI coverage, communal areas, including kitchen, lounge and pool.
Environment: Grounded, eco-minded, and steadily growing.
Resident Social gatherings, eg: creative sessions, music, shared cooking or walks.
🛠️ Your Contribution
Light, regular tasks that support the land and community, including but not limited to:
General land and plant care
Looking after chickens
Occasional reception duties for 'Aire' type stays.
Light cleaning of shared spaces
👣 Alongside this, there is space for initiative. If you bring skills, ideas, or experience—whether practical, creative, organisational, or community-focused—there may be opportunities to develop or lead small projects on the land or within communal areas with prior agreement. For instance, caretakers have already started a herb garden & vegetable patch and upcycled some garden furniture using mosaics.

One of our old outdoor chairs has been completely upcycled and given a new lease of life. The plastic was stripped away from the metal frame, pallet wood has been fixed to the arms and old bits of foam have been covered for comfort. An amazing project 😍
