Conn McDunphy - Cyclist

My love/hate relationship with time trials continues.
Absolutely loved that techy and fast Redlands TT getting a decent top10 which I was happy about.
The rest of the race I was in a body bag after the crash.
Time to go up to altitude now for a few weeks for a mental break from racing and some training as we prepare for the second race block of the season.

21/3 - & 22/3 - 🇪🇸

Two hard Spanish spring races which are always fast with some steep bergs. Sunday will be interesting with almost 40km of gravel roads.

Blood, sweat and near misses.

Going to a stage race with 3 stages almost certain to be a sprint and our little sprinter out of action 🦴 We knew we needed to tear up the script and quite frankly were the only team who tried to go against the grain which I’m proud of. and I got damn close to breaking the sprinters trains and on another day we would have.
Everyone riders and staff was class.

In 🇪🇸 now for two more races before I get to go home for a little bit before another long stint on the road.

“Find a way to win” - C.Daggs - Jan ‘26

Caught in the final 2km today in Antalya after hitting out on the last climb from the break with 35km to go. I crashed on the descent and lost half my gap. Had to go again from a group of 3 when the gap started coming down.

Definitely felt like I was forcing it today after the crash. That flow will come on course better suited to me. The team was awesome today controlling the pelo. Sprint stage tomorrow so hopefully some rest and then we go climbing 🐐.

Volta Valenciana TT - road bike!

Good decision as wind was crazy! We pre rode the course and it was a scary experience on a 90mm front wheel! I gave it a nudge to stay open but took zero risks on the corners in the wind.
