The second half of May was unusually busy, so my monthly blog post arrived a little later than planned.

This month I’m sharing a few design ideas I brought home from Casa Decor, not the spectacular ones, but those that might inspire our own homes. Some of them are probably easier to recreate than you might think.

Trying to narrow down my favorite moments from Casa Decor is almost impossible.

This year felt very focused on bold textures, unexpected transitions and those spaces where colours, materials and light come together effortlessly, like the way a curved rug meets a marble floor, or how light changes a deep red velvet. For me, it’s these small, intentional details that give a space its atmosphere and make it feel memorable.

April 27 - International Design Day 

I’ve always believed that while design is deeply personal, it is also a shared language. To mark the occasion, I wanted to hear from the people who inspire me every day.

I reached out to a wonderful group of designers whose work I admire and asked them one simple, yet meaningful question:

What is one thing a room should never lack?

The answers were as diverse and beautiful as the spaces they create. I wanted to share them all together, exactly as they came: different voices, different priorities, one shared love for spaces that feel right.

Whether you’re looking for a bit of soul or a practical tip, there is so much wisdom in these words. 🤍

Yesterday brought a lovely visit from here at Home Redressed.

We talked through materials, textures, finishes, colour directions, and some of the trends shaping interiors right now.

There is something fascinating about the amount of thought, technology and design it takes to create surfaces that look this effortless.

I am always grateful for the chance to explore finishes in real life.

You know how sometimes we’re trying to figure out what feels right in a space… and the answer is already there, just not where we’re looking for it? A lot of it is in the way we dress.

Once you start noticing it, it’s hard to unsee and it changes the way you look at your home. I’ve written a few thoughts about this on the blog. You can read it through the link in my bio.
