📢 Extraordinary Regularization of Foreigners in Spain

The Council of Ministers has approved the start of an extraordinary regularization process for foreign nationals already living in Spain.

END OF THE GOLDEN VISA

The Spanish Congress has officially approved the new Organic Law on efficiency measures for the Public Justice Service, eliminating the possibility of obtaining a Golden Visa through real estate investment in Spain.

🔴 What does this mean?
Until now, an investment of €500,000 in real estate allowed investors to apply for a residence permit. With this new law, this option will no longer be available.

📅 When does it take effect?
The law will be published in the coming days in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and will take effect three months later. By the end of March 2025, Golden Visas through real estate investment will be cancelles.

El Congreso de los Diputados ha aprobado definitivamente la Ley Orgánica de medidas en materia de eficiencia del Servicio Público de Justicia, que elimina la posibilidad de obtener una Golden Visa en España mediante la inversión en bienes inmuebles.

🔴 ¿Qué significa esto?
Hasta ahora, una inversión de 500.000 € en la compra de inmuebles permitía obtener un permiso de residencia. Con esta nueva ley, esta opción dejará de estar disponible.

📅 ¿Cuándo entra en vigor?
La ley será publicada en los próximos días en el BOE y entrará en vigor a los tres meses de su publicación. Por tanto, a finales de marzo de 2025, las Golden Visa basadas en inversiones inmobiliarias desaparecerán.
