The Vynle floor has been completed and is ready for a surprise delivery today of a large bed, which is why we had to lay the floor before time.

Just another day at the office.

Laying vinyl self-adhesive floor planks is not really for someone with no patience, a bad back or knees.

Removing backing paper can be VERY stressful if you have never had a go before; your hands will get very sticky, and my advice is to use an off-cut to assist, as I show in the video.

It’s been a while since I last posted. Rest assured, I haven’t vanished — I’m still here, still working, still wondering why my tape measure has developed a better social life than I have.

My team and I are currently juggling a few projects in La Mata, plus several more in Torrevieja. And, of course, the call-outs — those mysterious little jobs that begin with, “It’ll only take you a minute,” and inevitably end with me performing a full archaeological dig through someone’s boiler cupboard.

Torrevieja continues to be as reliable as ever — by which I mean the roundabouts multiply weekly, the traffic behaves like interpretive dance, and a five‑minute drive reliably turns into a philosophical journey about patience.

Despite being busy, I’m always happy to help — often in ways others don’t, or won’t, or diplomatically avoid altogether. I’ve been here a long time, grafting away, quietly wondering how I became the unofficial problem‑solver of the postcode.
