Rudi was found wandering through the countryside. He was extremely thin, covered in fleas, and had very pale gums. To make matters worse, he had severe, watery diarrhoea.
As a young, fast-growing puppy with an unknown history, Rudi was placed in quarantine as a precaution. This is something we always do with young puppies, as we don’t know what they may have been exposed to or come into contact with.
He was fed four times a day with special food to help him gain weight while also managing his diarrhoea. Rudi is a super-friendly boy who has made wonderful progress over the past few weeks. He has gained weight, his poo has improved, and his gums have regained their colour. He is now enjoying two meals a day.
Rudi has had blood tests, and we are awaiting the results. Fingers crossed they come back clear.
This beautiful eight-month-old would make a wonderful companion. He is incredibly friendly, super intelligent with so much potential.

----------

Just look at our beautiful boy Timmy
Timmy arrived at the kennels at the end of July in a terrible condition. His skin was covered in thick flakes, he had painful sores around his eyes, ears and nose, and he was clearly suffering.
Blood tests revealed that Timmy had very high levels of Leishmaniosis and had also tested positive for Ehrlichia. Without treatment, both of these diseases can be life-threatening, and sadly his future looked very uncertain.
But look at him now...
Just a few weeks later, Timmy is looking like a completely different dog! His skin is healing beautifully, his sores are improving, and he is finally starting to feel comfortable again. He is such a happy boy who loves his medicated baths and happily heads off for his walks, enjoying life more with each passing day.
Timmy will soon be having another blood test to check his Leishmaniosis levels and see how well the treatment is working. The tests will also tell us whether the Ehrlichia infection has been successfully eradicated.
While there is still some way to go, his progress so far has been nothing short of amazing. Every improvement is a reminder of what can happen when a dog is given the veterinary care, medication, love and the chance they deserve.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support dogs like Timmy. Because of your kindness, this sweet boy has gone from facing an uncertain future to having real hope for a happy and healthy life.
We are keeping everything crossed that Timmy's progress continues in such a positive direction and look forward to sharing more good news with you soon.
