Robert Graves once wrote: “Mallorca is a paradise, if you can stand it.” 🌿
This captures perfectly the spirit of our INSPIRING MALLORCA program: an island that challenges, fascinates, and inspires. Its landscapes, history, and culture become a living classroom where students discover new perspectives, connect with creativity, and learn to see the world with fresh eyes. ✨
Mallorca is not just a place to visit—it’s a source of inspiration that sparks curiosity and imagination in every corner.

Two writers, two perspectives on Mallorca 🌿
For Robert Graves, the islanders were “excessively honest and friendly,” people who welcomed him, with all his quirks, as part of the landscape itself.
For George Sand, however, the experience was quite different, marked by a sense of distance and observation between locals and foreigners.
Two contrasting views that reveal how the same place can be experienced in completely different ways—shaped by time, expectations, and personal sensitivity.✨
A quiet moment in the garden of Cell 4 at the Valldemossa Charterhouse 🌿
Here, surrounded by nature and silence, Frédéric Chopin composed many of his 24 Preludes, Op. 28—a cycle of short piano pieces, each in a different key, exploring a wide range of emotions, from lightness to deep melancholy.
Among them is the famous “Raindrop” Prelude (No. 15), which takes its name from the repeated note that evokes the sound of falling rain. According to George Sand, during a storm in Valldemossa, Chopin became deeply unsettled, imagining dark visions while the rain tapped endlessly outside—an atmosphere that shaped the piece’s haunting, hypnotic character.
