SYNPOL and BioConSepT – Two approaches – same aim

To increase their visibility the FP7 projects BioConSepT and SYNPOL have joined forces in dissemination activities.

Both projects aim to integrate production (fermentation) and separation technologies for the cost-effective commercial synthesis of high added-value biopolymers. While SYNPOL uses biowaste to produce syngas, which is then fermented, BioConSepT focuses on second generation biomass like wood and non-edible oils as feedstock.

The Kick-off meeting of the SYNPOL project with 26 participants was held successfully on friday the 23rd of November 2012 at the CIB-CSIC in Madrid, Spain. A foto of the participants is posted here.

The SYNPOL project has officially started on 1st of October 2012 and will be kicked-off on 23rd of Novbember at the CIB-CSIC in Madrid (Spain) with all the participating european partners.
