Have you ever wondered how a story is born on the canvas? 🎨✨

In this work, I sought to capture that balance between the real and the fantastic. Oil painting allows me to play with textures and shadows to create the atmosphere of mystery that fascinates me so deeply.

Each brushstroke is one more step toward an unknown world.

¿Alguna vez te has preguntado cómo nace una historia sobre el lienzo? 🎨✨

En esta obra busqué capturar ese equilibrio entre lo real y lo fantástico. El óleo me permite jugar con las texturas y las sombras para crear esa atmósfera de misterio que tanto me fascina.

Cada pincelada es un paso más hacia un mundo desconocido.

La magia de las capas en el óleo:
1. Grisalla: Planteamiento y dibujo del cuadro, tonos neutros.
2. Color: Capas de color desaturado para construir profundidad narrativa y ver tonos generales.
3. Acabado final: Dando volumen y aplicando pasta en la pincelada para acentuar los tonos y la textura.

Estoy muy feliz de formar parte de esta muestra comisariada por el propio Miguel Marcos. Gracias a todos los que vinisteis el día de la inauguración y a quienes os habéis acercado después.

Quiero también agradecer especialmente la visita de , directora de ARCO , a .segade, director del Museo Reina Sofía y , subdirectora del mismo.

✨ I’m very happy to announce that my work will be featured in issue No. 51 of , one of the leading international publications dedicated to contemporary art and fantastic figuration.

This special edition, celebrating the winners of the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize 2025, brings together some of the most innovative contemporary artists from around the world.

Being able to pay tribute through my piece “The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters” to the master Francisco de Goya — from a current and symbolic perspective — within a magazine that honors the power of visionary art, is a true honor.

My deepest thanks to Beautiful Bizarre Magazine for their sensitivity and for continuing to be a space that connects the emotional, the poetic, and the transgressive in contemporary art.

✨ El otro día viví un día muy especial.
Tuve el honor de recibir en mi estudio a May Forcén , directora del Museo Goya.

No fue solo una visita: fue un encuentro lleno de conversación y complicidad en torno al arte, a la visión que compartimos y a la fascinación que nos une con el maestro Francisco de Goya.

Poder mostrarle las obras que hemos creado junto a Luis Royo —desde papeles inéditos que aún descansan en los cajones hasta lienzos de gran formato— fue un privilegio. Hablamos sobre la parte más fantástica y oscura de Goya, la que conecta con nuestro propio universo: desde los Caprichos, hasta las Pinturas Negras o las brujas que inspiraron tantos de sus encargos.

Nos vemos pronto para seguir redescubriendo a Goya, no solo con ojos de artista, sino también con esa mirada que trasciende el tiempo.

✨ A few days ago I experienced a very special day.
I had the honor of welcoming May Forcén , director of the Goya Museum, to my studio.
It wasn’t just a visit: it was an encounter filled with conversation and a deep sense of connection around art, the vision we share, and the fascination that unites us with the master Francisco de Goya.
Being able to show her the works we have created together with Luis Royo —from unpublished papers still resting in drawers to large-format canvases— was a privilege. We spoke about the most fantastic and dark side of Goya, the one that resonates with our own universe: from the Caprichos to the Black Paintings and the witches that inspired so many of his commissions.

See you soon to continue rediscovering Goya, not only through the eyes of an artist, but also with that gaze that transcends time.
