Languages have been a great subject in my life. As a student of languages obsessed by the way, it determines our identities, the way it permits us to describe ourselves. It is the way to accept the existence of the other. Translation makes it possible to break through words and barriers to hear the voice of the other and be heard. We can connect with each other and be active citizens in a world full of words.
This is what the word school etymologically means: leisure to get knowledge.
Sensing the deepest truth about languages and intimacy: it is not created by a particular language it's created intimates, the great change is not linguistic but social and the way to connect with each other and get your voice reached what you want to say.

“Learning is a two-way street.”
Most people would think that learning ends when you are finished with your education. However, this is contradicting in essence. In a nutshell, students can be teachers and teachers can be students. As I begin my educational odyssey in Spain, I am in a conundrum as I teach English with minimal background of the Spanish language. Nevertheless, I am practicing a foreign language from teaching these students in a
foreign language as well! At least that is how I am experiencing it!

Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Raul Alfredo III Q. Olegario. I am 23 years old and I was born and raised in a country known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’ called Philippines. I am an alumnus in one of the leading college’s in the Philippines known for its innovative learning and educational inclusivity—De La SalleCollege of Saint Benilde, with a bachelor’s degree in Arts major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs. Exploring my own strengths, I began my teaching career in Spain at a concertado school located in La Palma del Condado, Huelva called Colegio Nuestra Senora del Carmen as a current English teaching
assistant under the ‘Erasmus In School’ Program.
Teaching in this school has been nothing but a great opportunity for me to impart my knowledge of the English language in addition to introducing a different culture, as well as learning a
culture that is relatively close to home!

Video about the experiance of Shabana.

Getting to live in a different country has given me huge confidence. Before, I never thought that I could leave everything that was comforting to move to a new place where I didn't know anyone around, the language, or the culture. In Spain, I got to learn to believe in myself and believe everything works out for the best. I made friends have a wonderful, loving host family, and coworkers and great mentors."
