Ekseption nació en Torremolinos en 1971, de la unión y de la visión vanguardista de Genevieve y Bernhart Beteinber. En 1979 abren en Marbella y en 1987 inauguran en Madrid un espacio de 1500 m2, convirtiéndose así en la primera tienda multimarca de España con notoriedad internacional.
