March 6, 2026 — In celebration of Women’s Month, the Supreme Student Government (SSG) in partnership with the Public Speakers Guild (PSG) successfully organized a meaningful and empowering event that highlighted awareness, respect, and gender equality.

The celebration began with a seminar on Republic Act No. 11313, also known as the Safe Spaces Act or “Bawal Bastos Law,” which aimed to educate students about the importance of maintaining safe and respectful spaces in schools and communities. The seminar encouraged students to understand their rights and responsibilities in promoting dignity, respect, and protection against gender-based harassment.

Following the seminar was the much-awaited Gender Egalitarian Ambassadress Pageant, where candidates confidently showcased their intelligence, poise, and advocacy for gender equality. The event highlighted the leadership and empowerment of young women, inspired by the theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”

The organizers extend their heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished panel of judges, teachers, club officers, and students whose presence and support made the event a success. Special recognition is also given to the candidates who courageously represented their sections and inspired everyone through their confidence and commitment to empowerment.

The celebration served as a reminder that through awareness, education, and unity, the school community can continue to promote respect, equality, and safe spaces for all. 💜

December 12, 2025 | Inang Elementary School, Pilar, Sorsogon

The spirit of Christmas filled the halls of Inang Elementary School during the second session of Read to Lead, led by the Public Speakers Guild, Literary Society, The Divinian Publication, The Divinian Photographers Club, and the JHS English Area of the Divine Word College of Legazpi. Through guided reading, storytelling, and engaging literacy activities, the day was filled with joy, learning, and laughter.

Making the celebration even more meaningful was Merry Medyas, the annual Christmas gift-giving activity made possible through the generous donations of the parents of DWCL Junior High School students, spearheaded by the GPTA Officers. This shared act of kindness brought smiles, warmth, and the true essence of the season to the community.

A joyful celebration of learning, giving, and togetherness — where stories were shared and hearts were made merry. 🎁✨
