Remember my photoshoot from last week? I just received the first preview.

These beautiful photos were taken by Cheila. Besides photographing my latest interior design project, she also got me in front of her camera.

And I absolutely loved it!
I don’t think I even need to explain that when you look at these photos. 😄

She took many more, so you’ll definitely be seeing them pop up here over the coming weeks.

Why these new photos?

Because it’s time to give my business a fresh face.

A lot has changed in my life over the past few months, and of course my new start in Spain has everything to do with that. I’m noticing that it’s not just me who’s changing — my business is evolving along with me.

So I’m taking a fresh look at things: what still feels like me? What gives me energy? What do I want to take with me, and what am I ready to do differently?

I don’t know exactly where it will all lead yet. And actually, I really like that. Not everything has to be figured out in advance.

These photos were the first step. Next up: my website and social media.

Over the coming months, I’ll take you along with me every now and then as this new chapter unfolds. Not just the end result, but everything that happens along the way.

Because apparently, it’s not just my hair that’s in motion. 😉

Life isn’t perfect, we humans aren’t perfect, and in my opinion an interior doesn’t have to be perfect either.
What really matters is how you feel in your home.

This might be a nice example of that. I was planning to create a beautiful wooden feature wall to hide the TV bracket (which was mounted far too high). I had already taken the TV off and placed it on the cabinet below. Then my granddaughter came to stay and made me a beautiful, sweet drawing. A heart with a purple aura (at least that’s what I see in it).
I attached the drawing to the TV bracket with two small pieces of tape (picture 2).

Yesterday, while doing groceries, I came across a beautiful, simple frame. I bought it without really knowing what I would use it for, just with a vague idea and the hope that it might work. This morning I framed the drawing and hung it on the same TV bracket. The bracket is no longer visible and no longer an eyesore.
A solution that cost me €5 and, for a temporary home, is perfectly imperfect 🥰👌😉

Het leven is niet perfect, wij mensen zijn niet perfect en een interieur hoeft dat wat mij betreft ook niet te zijn.
Het gaat erom hoe je je voelt in je huis.

Dit is misschien wel een mooi voorbeeld. Ik was van plan om een mooie houten voorzetwand te maken om de tv-beugel (die veel te hoog is gemonteerd) te maskeren. De tv had ik er al van af gehaald en op het kastje eronder geplaatst. Toen kwam mijn kleindochter logeren en maakte een prachtige lieve tekening voor mij. Een hart met een paars aura (dat is wat ik erin zie).
Ik hing de tekening met twee plakbandjes op de tv-beugel (foto 2).

Gisteren bij het boodschappen doen zag ik een mooie eenvoudige lijst. Die nam ik mee. Nog niet wetend wat ik er precies mee wilde doen maar ik had een vaag idee en hoopte dat het zou werken. Vanochtend heb ik de tekening ingelijst en opgehangen aan dezelfde tv-beugel. De beugel is hiermee niet meer in het zicht en geen doorn meer in het oog. Een oplossing die mij €5 heeft gekost en voor een tijdelijke woning helemaal perfect imperfect is 🥰👌😉
