There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets too and they are open all through the year. The apartment in Colinas de Calahonda is comfortably furnished. It is bright and spacious and recently redecorated to give a much more modern appearance. The living area is open plan with a modern L-shaped sofa bed facing a flat screen TV with international TV channels (including English, Spanish, Scandinavian, French, etc.). A fiber optic Wi-Fi connection has been installed to provide excellent connection speeds for internet access. The Bluetooth speaker ensures you are able to wirelessly connect and listen your own music at your convenience. The kitchen is fully equipped with all that you should need during your holiday and includes a washing machine, cooker (with hob and oven), microwave, fridge freezer, etc. There is also dining seating for 4 and sleeping capacity for 6. The apartment has two bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a king size double bed with an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds and a chest of draws for clothes. The sofa in the Living Room pulls out to a become a double bed allowing accommodation for larger families of up to 6 people. This is a west facing apartment, so it enjoys sunshine from late morning until sunset (depending on season) and with some beautiful views of the sea and the coast down to Gibraltar. There is an outdoor dining table with seating for 4 and an awning which provides welcome shade during the height of summer… perfect for dining outside! Colinas de Calahonda is situated in a large complex mid-way up the hill at Calahonda. It is in a prime location for anyone looking for active options whilst on holiday. There is access to the Club del Sol Tennis and Squash Club which is opposite the complex. Costs for hiring the tennis and squash courts can be provided on request. Daily and weekly passes can be purchased for access to the nearby gym. The La Siesta Golf Club is next door to the complex. This is a beautifully maintained, 9-hole, par 3 course with a driving range. There are many beautiful golf courses located close to the apartment. The weather in the winter is very mild and perfect for keen golfers looking for golfing holidays. There is a lift on each floor allowing for convenient access to the apartment. There is a large outdoor communal swimming pool with a shallow area (0.4m depth). This is ideal for infants and young children. The pool opens out to large deep end. The pool is set in the middle of fantastic gardens with sun shades and the views from the swimming pool area are really stunning (see the pictures). Lift access to all floors ensures easy accessibility for people with restricted mobility. It is not suitable for wheelchair access. There are three main beaches in Calahonda: Luna (2.5km), Royal Beach (2.8km) and Calahonda Beach (2km). The nearest beach is just over 20 minutes walk away from the apartment. The nearby supermarkets are: Supersol at El Zoco and Mercadona at Jardin Botanico located at the bottom of Calahonda. Long term lets (over 1 month) are available. Please call for more information.
