"MESS"

"For me,“Mess” is all about letting go of baggage in your life that is no longer serving you. Eliminating the voices of self doubt, and fear. Finding the next steps to move forward in life amongst the chaos. Trying to hold onto whatever internal peace we have left and build from that place.” Vodník

"For Mess we pretty quickly landed on the wired head idea. The track had a super direct melody and I wanted to play with that, a head tangled in cables and overloaded with connections.
Cyanotype gave me a different visual dimension especially once I started intervening it with paint.
I was going for a figure that’s shedding its old skin, kind of purifying itself at the same time, while still keeping things more abstract and direct, more abrasive and more experimental than the other covers.

The eye that closes the composition is a frame where shuts it at the end of the previous single’s video Pay Me What I’m Worth.
I really loved working on this one because the whole process from the first ideas to the final piece felt insanely smooth." Gyuk

"Viajo, miro por la ventana
Al rededor, un campo infinito
Llanura desesperante, un horizonte despoblado
que lejos de generar calma me asfixia.

Dejo atrás mi historia, mis recuerdos
Muchas veces quiero olvidar de donde vengo,
porque donde estoy es muy diferente.

La nostalgia me invade y se mezcla con una sensación desagradecida.
Pienso que es importante no olvidar,
sobre todo por los que quedan.
Pero, tanto enojo decepción y aburrimiento
nublan y viven
más que yo,
que desaparezco.

Pausa y mute.
Sin voz y sin movimiento.

Me quema el cuerpo encerrado acá adentro.
y cuando junto valor
vivo la euforia.

Todo arranca en esa explosión
o tal vez arrancó antes,
Pero ahí se hace tangible,
ahí pude ver.
Del blanco paralizante,
tímido, escondido y ordenado
Hubo un momento de valor, una mancha
donde pudiste ver
que acá estoy
que acá soy.
Tal vez fui yo, en realidad
quien pudo ver.

También supongo,
que de alguna u otra manera,
todes estamos intentando
rompernos las costillas
desgarrar nuestras entrañas
vomitar los nervios
el picor
el estomago entero
para
para qué?"

Pay Me What I'm Worth

“It’s sick to watch people that I admired and respected become casualties of greed and influence. When I was jotting down the lyrics for this piece, my aim was primarily focused on how corrupt the classical music industry can be. It’s filled with a plethora of narcissists, and egomaniacs who thrive off feeling powerful and all encompassing. Unfortunately, the artist are at the mercy of these individuals. That’s why I left. Tired of watching the hard work of artists being cast aside, disrespected, and being taken advantage.”

But it goes much deeper than just my experience with being a classical musician. Look what’s happening here at home in the U.S. It’s terrifying to see what people are willing to sacrifice when their true identity is tested. Many have lost friends, family, loved ones. Most days can feel incredibly bleak, and hopeless, but I’m reminded that their is still so much good in our lives. We just have to fight like hell to repair what has been lost.”
