DMS Architecture

Empezamos con ilusión un nuevo proyecto en Muros (A Coruña).

¿Qué es la realidad virtual? Una manera de abrir un mundos. Softwares como Unity o Unreal Engine proporcionan a los arquitectos oportunidades de visualización renderizada en tiempo real, tradicionalmente empleadas en el mundo de los videojuegos.
Recrean materiales, movimientos, luces y sombras de forma realista, física. Sensaciones como el viento que mueve suavemente el césped, o la lluvia cayendo sobre un pavimento mojado... ya no son algo ajeno al proyecto del espacio. Promueven la emoción y el recuerdo.

Un muro. Frontera ma**za entre la calle y el espacio doméstico. Al otro lado ondea un mar que no se deja ver. En ocasiones las puertas anuncian que algo aguarda al otro lado. La puerta de la caseta número dos de la playa del Garraf no da a ninguna parte. Flota en el muro al observarse desde la arena. Al otro lado, el vacío.

Una serie de objetos domésticos aparecen durante un día. Permiten habitar el espacio público, diluyendo el umbral entre el dentro y el fuera. La calle...✍️

A wall constituted the solid frontier between the street and the domestic space. At the other side there’s a sea which cannot be seen. Sometimes, a door announces that something may be happening beneath it. The door of the cottage number 2 provides access to nowhere. Anyone situated in the sand can observe it floating in the white surface. At the other side, the void.

Some domestic objects appear during the day. They allow to inhabit the public space, watering the threshold between the inside and the outside. The street...✍️

The existing flat presented an excessive room compartmentalisation which leaded to small rooms with lack of light and space. One of the claims of the project was to allow light to reach all the common area. Diagonal views were also important in order to achieve... ✍

Narrow windows looked into the cramped street where the entrance of the house was located. A quite atmosphere was broken only by the rustle of the door opening. On the other side of the corridor, one could feel the wideness of the landscape... ✍️
