I was 16, in a time that I thought I was a rebel teenager, I ran with some friends in to an abandoned train tunnel, where you could see nature reclaiming its space. 🌿

We started walking inside this huge dark space where our voices echoing against the walls made it feel even more cavernous. I don't remember how long we were walking but the entrance turned into just a little shiny dot far away, and with the only lights of our phones we could barely see the train tracks under our feet. We couldn't even see the walls around us, the only way we knew they were there was from the sound bouncing off of them.

I felt like drawing this sketch of one of my teenage memories today. ☺️

Some months ago I decided to, finally, after years of indecision, get tattooed! 🌸

I wanted one that said something about me and was also designed by me, but with the touch of a good tattoo artist from the city I'm currently living in (Bremen).
After some digging I decided to contact Frank from to adapt my sketch and make it "tattoo friendly" with shading, and of course to tattoo it! Now it's finally cured and I can show it off! Yay! 🎉

Owning your darkness, loving it and embracing its meaning. Because every tiny part of you, even the ugly ones, make you who you are, make you whole.

We let others shape us, to be more likeable, but as time passes we tend to forget our hidden selves. The "you" that you don't want anybody to see. You might even start to think that there's something wrong just because maybe other people won't accept it... There are people that will embrace your "hidden self", I call them "oases", refuges from the world's noise.

In summary, love your whole self regardless of what others think and you'll find your oasis. Just my two cents... 🙌
