“En la visita a l’exposició Objectes comuns. Històries locals, debats globals observarem com els objectes que ens envolten ens ajuden a fer més fàcil el nostre dia a dia i ens permeten cobrir necessitats bàsiques de la nostra vida: alimentació, higiene, descans i transport. Així, veurem com el disseny s’ha convertit en una eina fonamental per a produir objectes que puguin complir amb aquestes funcions específiques, i com la figura del dissenyador empatitza amb les necessitats dels altres, més enllà de pensar en un element decoratiu o estètic. Al taller coneixerem quin és el procés de creació dels dissenyadors i pensarem en com podríem utilitzar aquesta metodologia per millorar objectes de la vida quotidiana dels usuaris, proposant canvis que puguin ajudar a complir amb més eficiència necessitats específiques”.

“En la visita a la exposición Del mundo al museo observaremos como los objetos que nos rodean nos ayudan a hacer más fácil nuestro día a día y nos permiten cubrir necesidades básicas de nuestra vida: alimentación, higiene, descanso y transporte.
Así, veremos como el diseño se ha convertido en una herramienta fundamental para producir objetos que puedan cumplir con estas funciones específicas, y como la figura del diseñador empatiza con las necesidades de los otros, más allá de pensar en un elemento decorativo o estético. En el taller conoceremos cuál es el proceso de creación de los diseñadores y pensaremos cómo podríamos utilizar esta metodología para mejorar objetos de la vida cotidiana de los usuarios, proponiendo cambios que puedan ayudar a cumplir con más eficiencia necesidades específicas.”

October has been a fantastic month for us, filled with exciting cultural events and shared moments!
🎶 We had the chance to attend several concerts, always a highlight for our community:
- Two exceptional classical interpretations of Schumann's and Beethoven's works at the Auditori,
- A wonderful jazz manouche evening with the Albert Bello Trio featuring Maria Pascual, remarkable figures of the genre.
🎨 We also visited the Museu Tàpies, which hosted the exhibition of André du Colombier and features the works of Antoni Tàpies, one of the most famous Catalan artists.
It is truly a pleasure to meet every week during these events. We are committed to fostering broader access to cultural heritage for everyone in Barcelona, and these moments remind us why this mission matters!
Our warmest thanks to all who joined us this month, and to our amazing volunteers who make all of this possible. We look forward to seeing you at our next events!

The 2025 Heritage for Peace conference “From Crisis to Commitment: Rethinking Policies and Partnerships for Heritage Protection in Conflict and Peacebuilding” will bring together international organizations, experts, and civil society leaders to:
-Explore innovative approaches to heritage protection
-Debate cultural policies and sustainable partnerships
-Amplify local voices from concerned civil societies

The program includes panels on cultural heritage policies, sustainable partnerships, and local voices from Yemen, Libya, Palestine, Syria, and Ukraine. A keynote lecture by Professor Neil Brodie will address the illicit trade in cultural heritage, followed by a closing plenary with a collective call for action to strengthen heritage protection as a foundation for peace and resilience.
