Category: Plastic Pollution Blue Cross by Happicidad is a project in which the photographer Mario Entero in collaboration with Surfer Rule, uses underwater imagery to highlight plastic pollution and its impact on marine fauna. ARTISTS’ STATEMENT: The ocean brought us to LIFE and we gave it back the worst. - 115 millions tons of plastic trash by 2025. - 15 millions km2 of plastic waste. How many years must elapse before the day we will be living on the top of plastics or UNDER IT? When a new element is introduced into an ecosystem, this last one inevitably changes. In the case of the ocean, we speak of DEATH and LOSS. Diseases transported, such as cholera, by new migrations of the marine inhabitants; Endangered species trapped by plastic or dying by their consumption; fish eating plastic that ends in the intestines of humans and more than 600 marine species… In 20 years the damage will be IRREVERSIBLE. The ocean is dying. We are dying. STOP DEVASTATING THE OCEAN. WE ARE ALL GUILTY. YOU TOO.

The first day of is nearly over and we are super happy to be here. Today we met lots of different people with amazing ideas coming directly from the bottom of their heart. If you couldn't come today, you definitely have to come tomorrow. will be there for sure. 🌊

Counting down the days to the launch of our new sustainable surf summer collection 2017. We are so excited to get there very soon! Thanks to the help of amazing people we are able to produce the whole collection in enjoying and caring about every step we take.
