Fresh is derived as in the sense of seeing something brand new. It’s used to refer to anything highly approved by someone. “Those are some fresh t-shirts” right? 😝 . . .

From Ghana 🇬🇭 When I went to Makola Market, one of the many markets in Accra, Ghana, I didn’t know what to expect but I went with a purpose.
My mission seemed simple: find beautiful fabrics for myself. But I ended up buying yard and yard of many beautiful fabrics for our exclusive and limited Edition collection coming soon.
Ghana es very known for its kente patterns.

WHAT DOES OBRONI MEAN

▪️Obroni is the Akan (or more specifically, the Twi language) word for foreigner, literally meaning "those who come from over the horizon." It is often colloquially translated into "white person."

▪️Oburoni" is not a direct translation of "white." For most Ghanaians, an obroni refers to any person with lighter skin or straighter hair than a dark skinned Ghanaian. Asian, Middle Eastern, and African American people are all classified as oburoni. Americans of Ghanaian descent are still considered oburoni because they come from abroad.
▪️Obroni are considered an amusing sight, especially in rural areas, where children might follow around a foreigner, chanting the word.
▪️The term is not derogatory, but a way to identify someone who is not a native-born Ghanaian, or an "obibini."

▪️Obroni es la palabra Akan (o más específicamente, el idioma Twi) para extranjero, que significa literalmente "aquellos que vienen del otro lado del horizonte". A menudo se traduce coloquialmente en "persona blanca". ▪️Oburoni no es una traducción directa de "blanco ". Para la mayoría de los ghaneses, un obroni se refiere a cualquier persona con piel más clara o cabello lacio que un ghanés de piel oscura. Las personas asiáticas, del Medio Oriente y afroamericanas se clasifican como obroni. Los estadounidenses de ascendencia ghanesa todavía se consideran oburoni porque provienen del extranjero. ▪️Obroni se considera algo curioso y divertido, especialmente en las zonas rurales, donde los niños pueden seguir a un extranjero cantando la palabra.
▪️El término no es despectivo, sino una forma de identificar a alguien que no es un ghanés de origen nativo o un "obibini".
