It is very rare to hear a Baroque lute recital dedicated entirely to the music of J.S. Bach, and we had that privilege last Sunday in Alicante with Nigel North, an exceptional performer who deeply moved the entire audience. The seminar he offered the following day to students of the Master Guitarra Alicante and the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Alicante was just extraordinary.

Spanish guitar music has been the topic of the master's course we've just finished. Intense and fruitful days with a magnificent group of students who are an inspiration to any teacher.

Conocí a Roberto Aussel en el verano de 1981. Desde entonces coincidimos en diferentes festivales y en jurados de varios concursos, en los que resultaba muy interesante conocer sus valiosos criterios musicales. Su participación en los últimos años en el Master Guitarra Alicante como profesor y concertista hizo posible que pudiera disfrutar más a menudo de su música y su conversación. Siempre admiré su honestidad musical tanto como las cualidades de su personalidad, que se reflejaban en sus extraordinarias interpretaciones. Los que tuvimos la suerte de conocerle no le olvidaremos.

Almost all the students of the 14th edition of the Master Guitarra Alicante arrived in Alicante. Yesterday we had the information session at the university, where the repertoire for each course and the transcriptions for the Master's Thesis were presented, among other topics.

It has been a true pleasure to give this recital in Ankara playing a wonderful guitar built by Hermann Hauser. This was made possible thanks to the generosity of my friend Ahmet Kanneci. At the end of the concert, several guitar teachers and students spontaneously joined me on stage to take a photograph.

It is great to be in Ankara again, where I will be giving a concert tomorrow.
