GLP-1 drugs do not appear to harm male fertility and may even improve it🧐

Glucagon-like peptide-like 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, widely used to treat obesity and type 2 diabetes, are attracting growing interest beyond their metabolic effects.
Drugs such as semaglutide, liraglutide or dulaglutide have revolutionized the treatment of obesity, but one question continues to generate debate among patients and specialists: do they affect male fertility?

AP2A1: the protein that could open a new pathway to rejuvenate aged cells🧐

The search for treatments capable of slowing down biological ageing has taken a new step thanks to a study carried out by researchers at Osaka University.

The work identifies the AP2A1 protein as a key element in the maintenance of the characteristics of aged cells and shows that its inhibition can reverse several of the traits associated with cellular senescence.

The results, published in the scientific journal Cellular Signalling, suggest that AP2A1 could become a new therapeutic target to combat age-related diseases and improve cellular health during aging.

Fertility and diet: scientific evidence points to ultra-processed foods as a risk factor🧐

The relationship between diet and fertility is arousing growing interest among researchers. Although factors such as age, genetics or certain pathologies are still determinants, the most recent evidence suggests that the quality of the diet can also influence the reproductive capacity of both men and women.

In particular, several studies published in recent years have identified an association between high consumption of ultra-processed foods and worse reproductive health indicators.

Genetics opens a new era of prevention: how medicine is ahead of disease 🧐

Medicine is entering a new stage in which it no longer only treats diseases when they appear, but also begins to predict and prevent them before they cause symptoms.

The genetic revolution, driven by DNA analysis, artificial intelligence and personalized medicine, is changing the way we understand individual health and risk.

Sleeping well, exercising and enjoying art: the three habits that science links to slower aging🧐

For years, physical exercise has been considered the main tool to delay aging. However, new scientific research suggests that getting a good night’s sleep and maintaining an active cultural life could be just as important for protecting the brain, reducing physical decline and slowing down biological ageing.

Mediterranean diet and vaginal microbiota could improve the success of artificial insemination 🧐

Fertility does not depend solely on hormones, age or genetics.
A growing body of research suggests that lifestyle factors, especially diet and the balance of the vaginal microbiota, can also influence the chances of achieving pregnancy through assisted reproduction techniques.
