A 53 yr old hypertensive male patient, complaining of right lower limb rest pain for 12 weeks. CT angio was done which revealed right lower SFA and Popliteal artery occlusion with bilateral small calcified and thrombosed popliteal aneurysms, successful stent placement in the distal SFA, P1 and P2 segments was done in IR unit - TBRI with excellent angiographic results.

Another successful TIPS procedure done in the IR unit for a 60 yo female patient complaining of refractory ascites, left sided pleural effusion and portal hypertension, A successful TIPS creation was done with decrease of the pressure gradient from 23 mmHg to 9 mmHg.

A successful DIPS/TIPS case in Interventional Radiology Unit - TBRI

A 35 female patient with Budd-Chiari syndrome complaining of refractory ascites, Doppler and CT studies were done showed completely absence of hepatic veins (arrow) where they are thrombotic, A successful DIPS (Direct Intrahepatic Porto-systemic Shunt) was done to her, the mean pressure gradient before stent insertion between the right atrium and portal vein was 18 mmHg which reduced after sent deployment to 8 mmHg.
